Steering problem
1998 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Manual 163000 miles

Hello,
Some time ago i hit the curb while driving on black ice with my front right wheel with 50km/h and the rim was automatically garbage. Before hit i turn my steering counter clockwise to the end and i hit.
The wheels got disaligned outwards, the bearing was good but noisy.
I went to the mechanic he checked it and did alignment only, he did not see anything alse wrong with the car.
But when i start a car and move i hear cranking noise somewhere in the front, only for first couple of minutes after starting then it occurs once in a while when turning. After one month wheels disaligned the same direction. I went to different mechanic again , he checked the thread on an alignment pin, changed the bearing and did alignment again. Its been a month and it disaligned again same direction(outwards) and i still hear the noise.
Maybe theres something with the rack and pinion?
Is it worth to keep a car after that kind of accident ?

First of all there is no such thing as a bearing that is noisy but good. I would replace the wheel bearing (hub assembly) the alignment always going the same way could be a bent ball joint. Did they replace the tie rod end or the inner socket on the rack and pinion? Is the strut leaking now, it could be bent as well causing the noise
