1974 Other Pontiac Models Engine swap

I have a 1974 Pontiac Ventura with a 350 in it. I would like to swap it for a pontiac 455, can I do a straight swap or are there modifications involved?

The only difference between a Pontiac 350 and a 455 is that some Pontiacs engines and distributer and shaft run counter-clock ways aslong as you don't use the distributer or shaft on the 455 you will have no problems your transmission and hanger will fit like a glove. And you're #1 piston might be on the other side of the 350 . look on your intake manifold of the 455 to get the proper fireing order . one last thing is to meassure you're drive shaft it may be alittle shorter , but if you got alittle play and it doesn't fall out of the trans then you're good to go have fun with you're project.
