Brakes problem
2001 Pontiac Montana 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 175000 miles

The caliper on the passenger side front is still not releasing, sometimes, even after having a professional replace the calipers, rotors and brakepads.

Chances ar the rubber brake hose going to the caliper is bad. They deteriorate and allow fluid to pass one direction and not the other. What to do is this. Remove the tire from the vehicle and pump up the brakes until the rotor won't turn when you release the brake pedal. If it sticks, open the bleeder valve. If pressure comes out and the caloper releases, replace the hose.

Let me know what you find.

I had the hoses replaced at the same time I had the calipers replaced. What solved the problem was a new master cylinder. The old cap had a rubber diaphram that attached to it. For some reason it got sucked down in the master cylinder and was causing the problem. Sometimes it was stopping the flow of fluid and sometimes it wasn't. Thanks for your help and advice.
