1989 Pontiac Lemans fuel pump fuse keeps blowing

The 20 amp fuse associated with the fuel pump blows as soon as it is inserted into the fuse block and the ignition is turned on. Have chech as much of the wires as I can see from the fuel pump forward. Perhaps a short in the dash somewhere? Could it have something to do with the relay?

It could be a relay probkem. Remove the relay, see if it still happens. If it does, you have a wiring problem. Remember, problem could be on a different circuit. That fuse powers other things, too
