Brakes problem
1969 Pontiac GTO V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual 94,000 miles
My brake lights on my 1969 GTO are not working. This happened several months age. I replaced a flasher unit and the lights worked. Now the brake lights are out again. All of my park lights, turn signals and flashers work. I even changed the brake light switch. Ideas?

I have this problem on my 67 all the time.
the sockets are not grounding to the housings good enough.

You may have a bad turn signal switch. Check for power at the brake light socket with a test light that is well grounded. If you don't have power there the problem is either in the wiring or the turn signak switch.
