Overheating problem

some time ago my check engine light came on and engine died. Apparently I melted some gasket and filled the pistons with antifreeze. I had it repaired and went on my way.

Ever since having that repaired my vehicle overheats.
My fans seem to work but engine over heats. When I drive down the highway things seem ok, but when I stop at a light vehicle starts to overheat. I proceed to put on my defrost on high and the temp guage goes back down to normal.

My fluids are fine and my ac works great.

Without really looking at it, it could be a number of different possibilities.

The simplist, which I expect that you checked, is the fluid level in the radiator. Besure it's full with the right antifreeze and mixture.

Is the level good?
