I was out last night and I turned my car off and the key would go to the off position but would not go to the lock position where u take them out?The car was in park and I also tried it in neutral and every other place LOL!The steering wheel would not lock and Im sure this is why the kesy would not come out?So, how do I get the steering wheel to lock or to just get the keys out?I was at a big event with a lot of cars and I left the keys in teh car, but I cant do this all the time or it might get stolen LOL!I have no spare key and cant get one made with the key in teh ignition LOL!Thanks for any help!

It is most likly due the solenoid on the shifter assembly. I have seen this happen alot and usually find that something has gotten spilled in the console and caused that solenoid to start sticking. If you remove the plate ontop of the shifter you will see alittle white plunger looking thing on the rightside. I cant remember if you have to push it in or pull it out, but move it and you should be able to get your keys out. The solenoid is not servicable and the shifter assembly will have to be replaced to permantly solve your problem.
