I have a 1994 grand prix with 145000 miles, v6 That keeps blowing alternator fuses. I have taken the alternator and had it bench checked and it is ok.
i have checked the wires to the fuse block could find no problems. Don't want to have to take the alt back out but I am out of ideas. Please help if you can.

Its probably overcharging the system-regulator not controlling the field circuit or computer is not telling the regulator to increase the field winding to drop the voltage.

Test the regulator ground connection.
