Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 116K miles

Yesterday I backed into the loading ramp at my job. I was backing up and the rear driver side wheel jumped up onto the ramp thats about a foot tall. I stopped and drove it off the ramp and got out to see that the front of the tire was pushed into the tire well.

It was almost like the wheel hub had been bent or maybe the axle? I know it's not the rim or the tire, amazingly those are both fine, no bent rim at all. It's almost as if when I hit the ramp it totally just twisted the tire's alignment. When you drive forward it pulls the rear end to the right. Im not sure whether or not the other tire would also be affected.

I dont know anything about pontiac cars, i've only worked on and owned trucks. I couldn't tell how the suspension works and would could make the tire bend into that kind of position.

The lower control arms or strut rod was likely bent. They are very fragile to movements other than going forward.
