Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 105000 miles

My check engine light came on, had the code read and suggested fuel evaperator problems. replaced gas cap and also a fuel pump. Not sure what the next step is. Fuel pump is now not working for the second time. Used pump only lasted about three months. not sure if that is the relay or not. What should I look at next.
