2000 Pontiac Grand Prix ABS LIGHT AND TRAC LIGHT

My ABS and TRAC light off came on today at same time and wont go off. Any ideas?

Both systems work together. Chances are an ABS sensor has come disconnected or the wiring to it has been damaged. You need to have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Have that done and let me know what you find.

Joe, I pulled off both front wheels and checked for a problem. The left front hub bearing started coming apart and the three bolts holding it on were loose causing the whole brake assembly to tilt ripping out the ABS wiring. Replaced the bearing and it fixed the problem. Thank you for your time. It worked.
