I own a 1998 Pontiac Gradprix GT. The ABS light stays on, and the TRAC light stays on. I hit the trac light button and the light will not go out. What could be the problem

There are several things that may cause this concern. The first thing to ceck is the brake fluid level. If the fluid level is low, it may cut out the ABS/TRAC system. Another problem may be a ground issue with the module. It is less common, but still something to consider. The third possibility is a wheel sensor may be bad or have debri on it. Does the car have any braking trouble when brakeing? Does the pedal ever pulse when the brake is applied?

If there is an ABS problem the traction control is disabled. Have the PCM scanned for ABS codes, this will help narrow down the search for the problem. Get back to us wit the exact codes
