I just got a1994 Grand Am SE, 155 horsepower, with 144,000 miles, but my friend is putting in a new transmission, and a new engine, but the new engine has 400 horsepower. So what should I do to not make my car over heat. Or would I not have to worry about it. Its never had any leaks or problems. So I was just wondering?

If this is realy a 6 cylinder-- 400 hp motor it is obviously not a street motor. It has been bored out to the maximum and probably has or it should have tight bearing clearences and /or have a supercharger on it. I call this a racing motor. Cooling a race motor depends on how long the race is and what type of cooling system it has. If this motor is intended for the street, then you will be rebuilding it every 8000 miles or so -- no matter how well you cool it.
