Hello, I am new to the forum, Hi everyone! I own a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT with 30940 miles and just today when I took my car out of park, it was hard to accelerate and go over 35 without pressing the pedal to the floor. Any info on this?

Thanks for your reply. No, there was no smell, sound nor any smoke. It just takes a little more force to make the car go above 50mph.

I suggest you run down your tank of gas. And fill up with a higher grade gas. I only use Shell. I dont know where you live but if you have a Shell near you. Take the time to fill up on the highest grade and go to your local auto parts store and buy a bottle of engine cleaner that cleans the engine of sluge and that sort of thing. Try that. And if that doesnt work. It could be something more serious.

Also you might want to look into the fuel filter. Could be clogged and the engine cant get enough fuel.
