Gran am locked up

Came accross this 99 grand am. Battery was dead. When we repalced it, the ignition switch was locked up. Couldnt get the car out or park to push it. Could this b a computer problem?

Start by checking the interlock shift solenoid-If you're not electrically incline best bet to bring her in-this one can be a nightmare for a DIY.
