Use a testlite between terminals for the yellow wire and black wire, the testlite should come on, lite-up. If that checks out, use the testlite between the purple wire and black wire, black is ground or use a chassis ground, wiper switch on high, the lite should come on, my info says if all that checks out, replace wiper motor.
