I have just replaced my 01 grand ams intake manifold gaskets in an attempt to curb some leaky coolant issues I was having. However, upon trying to run the car after getting the engine back together, I noticed that my radiator fans did not turn on and the radiator remained cold, however the intake/output tubes on the radiator felt like they had no pressure when squeezed and both got extremely hot to the touch. The coolant escaped through the overflow check on the overflow reservoir and onto the garage floor.

I'm thinking I either have a blocked radiator or a faulty water pump but I'm not sure which. It feels like there is no pressure in the system.

Feel across the radiator for cold spots if there's any-could be clogged

One way to test for a bad water pump is to squeeze the upper radiator hose when the engine is hot and idling. Careful, because the hose will be HOT! If you do not feel much coolant circulating through the hose when you rev the engine, the pump may be bad. The other cause might be a bad thermostat that is not opening properly (remove and inspect the thermostat), or a clogged radiator
