2001 Pontiac Grand Am Repair Question

Colling fan

Engine Cooling problem
2001 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 98521 miles

The only time the cooling fan will come on is when the ac is on. Wont come one other wise causing car to run hot. Checked everything i know to check Whats next

Welcome to the forum. If you unplug the coolant temp sensor, then turn on the key, does the fan run? Are there any trouble codes? Some of the national brand autostores used to check trouble codes for free. You can call and ask.

we did what u said, still no cooling fans, only sensor is the CO2 sensor. Now what

I don't know what you unplugged? The coolant temp sensor location for the 3.4 L engine, is in the picture. Any codes???
