This car ran fine then started to jerk and felt like it was missing. We had it hooked to a computer and it said "misfire on cylinder 6". We changed spark plugs and wires. Still does the same thing. Now it has gotten to where it shifts from 1st straight to drive. And when in shifts it starts jerking and makes a loud noise in the front. The check engine light stays on and when checked by the computer the second time it didn't show any error code. We can reset the check engine light and as soon as it makes that loud noise it comes back on which is as soon as we take off. If you could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

Those older 3.1 motors were common for injector problems, You can try a professional cleaning, but may need the injector. The 6th cylinder was usually the first to be a problem. In my experience.
