1995 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2.3L DOHC 131,000 miles

Hello. I am new to this forum, and am looking for some help. 2 questions:
1) I am having a problem with my Grand Am "jumping" while trying to accelerate..Ive got a mechanic looking at it, but he doesn't seem to know what the issue is. He's gone from fuel filter (no problems there), to transmission (none here, either), to now the ECM.

2) Also, I'm having electrical issues: the headlights cut out when using the left turn signal, headlights dim when accelerating, etc. I've read some online forums that This is a common problem in this model year.

Has anyone had or heard of these problems before?
Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thank you so much!

First problem sounds like a bad coil housing.

Second sound like a bad turn signal switch.
