1994 Pontiac Grand Am
Engine Cooling problem
1994 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
PLEASE HELP .... DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO!!
Car ran hot.. Replaced head iin motor. Still continues to run hot. I replaced senors, water pump, thermostat, radiator . STILL RUN HOT. Temprature still @220 and over. The theromostat temp- is suppose to be 195.
I went and bought another engine for the car and the TEMP is still over 220. Motor runs good but need to find out what to do about the temp. Does the KNOCK SENSOR has any thing to do with the TEMP?

Drain and flush the cooling system. Run a compression test to rule out heads.
It is also possible the temp sender/gauge is incorrect.
