Code 12 only means diagnostic mode. Are there other codes after that?

Hi again guys and thankyou for repying to my questions. The code 12 comes up continuously we have let it go aleast a dozen times and retried. We have been told to replace the cranksensor--what is your opinion on this-just told by a backyard mechanic--I am really stuck without this car as we live in the country and I have been put back into school by workers compensation the round trip a day is 254 km so any help would be great thanks again Sharon

Hi, have you done any basic testing? Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse. If you have neither one, it's a good bet the computer doesn't see an rpm signal for some reason. The rpm signal comes from the crank sensor, to the ignition module, then to the computer.
