2009 Pontiac G8 Ignition switch convenience light?

2009 Pontiac G8 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 4000 miles
Hard to find the ignition switch in the dark... there is a clear ring around the switch leading me to believe there is one, but I asked the service manager at the dealership about it and he says no... Is there supposed to be a light so you can find the ignition switch in the dark? If so, how can I prove this to the service manager at the dealership?
