Engine Cooling problem
1999 Pontiac Firebird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles
my temp guage is reading as if it overheating though the actuall temperaure is normal, also the engine idles at 1600 rpm a relatively high idle what vacuum or sensor could cause these two problems?

The temp sending unit may be the problem for the temp. As far as the idle, has the check engine light come on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
