Just recently my car started to "die" for no reason. The first couple of times the car would restart right way with no problem. Now the car has started dying more frequently. When this occurs all power to the car is lost. Everything goes, dead. Now my boyfriend who likes to think he is a mechanic says its the alternator. However, when this happens you can wiggle the battery cable and the car will start. What do you think? Battery, battery cable, possible ground wire, or the alternator?

Hi, after reading your post, my first thought is the battery cables. You can have the battery tested and charging system. Battery connections can effect everything.

It is almost certainly the battery. If it were the alternator, the battery would very quickly be completely sapped and you'd get no power. As jdl123 said, first take the battery to a local parts store and have the battery checked. I own this particular make and model as well, and the battery cables screw into the battery on the side rather than clamp onto them as with a few other GM models.
