Someone gave me a plymouth neon, I needed help with transportion bad, and they blessed me with the car. Unfortunatley, the other day, I heard this loud clicking under the hood, it drove fine, so I left for work. about 5miles later, it just shut off on me.
A friend at work, who works on cars, says it is the timing belt. He also said it is an interference engine (whatever that is? ) and that most likely I have ruined the engine. I am sick, I have no money to get a car. Do you know if this engine would be able to have a timing belt replaced and still work? Or am I out of luck?
