My brakes started squeaking about a month ago, and now they've been making a loud grinding sound most of the time unless I brake very lightly and gradually. They don't require any more pressure than usual to work but I'm starting to worry. I know zero about cars and I'm rather broke at the moment. Any idea what the cause is and what the cheapest method of fixing it would be?
