1994 Plymouth Colt rough idle and stalls after start

1994 Plymouth Colt 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 257000 miles
Hi my girlfriend has recently purchased a 94 colt 4 cyl 1.5L, we have been trouble shooting from home a couple of problems, and gotten them fixed, but we have come across one we cant figure out. when the car is started on any given day it idles very rough for a moment or two, then it stalls. we have replaced the TPS, distributor cap, spark plugs, coolant temp Sensor. since all of these changes, the car has started running a little better, but still likes to stall. any ideas?pls!
Also when the car is started and is ideling rough, for some reason when the tranny is in neutral, stepping on the clutch also seems to help the car stay running? any ideas on this as well?
