I have a 99 ply breeze 2.0 eng. I was driving and tmaking a turn at a corner. As I tried to speed up to complete the turn the car didn't excellarate at all. So I got it towed home I tried to start the car but it won't turn over now. Someone told me that the trans filter needs to be changed. So I started that got all the pan bolts off but the goo is holding it on. My question is do you think that its the trans filter? How do I get the pan off? And why won't the car start now? Please help

After you disconnected the battery did you drive the car after you reattached the battery. Some cars have to be drive for a while before the computer resets itself.

Yes, the car has been driven approx 250 miles from the last time I tried to reset the computer.

It idles all right, the next thing is I would check the fuel filter. It sounds like it is not getting enough fuel.
Did it ever do this before you disconnected the battery?

That's what is so odd. The car ran perfect until the day I disconnected the battery, cleaned the battery post's and connected it back again. I also inspected the cable's coming off the battery to see if I damaged them in any way. They look good with no visible wear or tear.

It is odd, check any connections you can see if one could have come loose. Especially ones by the throttle body. Even a little loose wire will make a car act weird. Has it run all right even for a second since
this has started happening?

Justanold, I tried what you suggested. There is a ground wire running off the negative battery terminal to the frame next to the radiator. Took it off, used sandpaper to clean both surfaces and it certaintly made a difference. Thank you for your suggestion. The engine is still running a little off but what a big improvement. Please tell me why.

Better put everything back on the pan and concentrate on why is doesn't wanna start.

Do this disconnect a plug wire at the sparkplug end then ground it to the engine while cranking engine over-do you have spark-No spark-troubleshoot the ignition system till you get spark then comeback
