1999 Plymouth Breeze After the accident.

My daughter's car was hit hard on her passenger side door and front panel over the tire by an suv. The next time she drove the car the speedometer and odometer wouldn't work and the car wouldn't shift out of first. My question is two fold. 1) Could the force of the impact from the accident cause these symptoms and 2) if not, what could be wrong with it?

Hi there,

with being able to view the damage first hand it is a bit hard to say, but if this was OK before the impact, then it is a fair assumption that the accident has been a factor in this problem.
