1999 Plymouth Breeze AC cuts out when driving

Air Conditioning problem
1999 Plymouth Breeze 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 118000 miles

My old AC compressor seized and the shop replaced the compressor, receiver/dryer, expansion valve, idler pulley and harmonic balancer (it was wobbling). AC then worked OK when idling but shut down compressor clutch and radiator fans when driving more then 10 minutes. Shop says that BCM will not respond to scanner and in fact, instrument panel read "no comm" when scanner was attached to OBDII connector so unable to diagnose pressure senor or evaporator sensor. Shop now wants to replace AC pressure sensor. Are they in over their heads?
