Computer problem
1989 Plymouth Acclaim 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I am trying to contact mechanic recefan966. I am trying to erase trouble codes 15, 25, 37; he wanted to know my engine size, whether the engine is turbo, and if I am comfortable using a digital multimeter. The engine is 2.5L, non-turbo, and I use the meter often. He wants me to do some tests with the meter. Will you contact him, please, so I can proceed with the tests? I have donated already,
Thanks.

Oh here you are now I can help you. Just reply to here so I can use this to look over to see what has and hasn't been done so we don't go over something twice.
First we need to check the vehicle speed sensor ok. First unplug it and look for any damaged wires and any corrosion. Let me know what you find. Just so you know we will tackle one code at a time ok. So code 15 is first. Get back to me.

Will you contact technician racefan966 for me, please, and let him know I have checked out code 15(speed sensor)as he suggested, and that it is ok? Now I want him to let me know how to check out code 25(AIS circuits). Thanks.

Testing the ais circuit is a bit more challanging. You need to unplug the harness from the computer that is near the battery. Now you will have to have you digital meter handy. Set your meter to the ohms setting. Now connect one connector of you meter to term number 17 (brown wire with white stripe) and the other connector your meter to term 18 (yellow wire with black stripe) was it less then 5 ohms? Get back to me with that and we will go to the next test on this code. Here is the all of the test for this code and if this passes then there is another test to do for this code. If you can save this and enlargen it to follow it then great do that and let me know what you find here. As for contacting me just reply to this post and I will look for it in the donated section to reply back to you. See when you reply to this post it comes back up in the donated section and I look through that every morning to see what I need to reply back to. Here is the test procedure.

I sent this message already and don't know if it went through because I didn't click on "submit". How much for you to send me an enlargement of the AIS circuit tests? The diagram doesn't show up clearly on my computer. Also, what do the words "add a smiley" mean? I clicked on it because I thought it meant making a donation, and then I was going to click on "submit". Thanks.

I will add it agian to see if it comes up larger but I don't think it will. So if you right click on it and save as pic and save it in your picture folder then go to it and click on it you should see a + sign at you pointer click it again and it should make it bigger then you can print it off. It works for me anyway. Here it is again hope it works.
