P1280 - Accelerator pedal position sensor 2 circuit fault

I was driving along one day and all of the sudden my engine turns off and I have to coast to a parking lot. I had a ELM327 scan tool with me, and retrieved the P1280 code. I just replaced the APPS itself, but it still isn't starting. Are there 3 individual sensors, and I replaced the wrong one? Or am I looking at faulty wiring?

Trouble codes does not necessarily mean a faulty sensor and you would need to perform test to determine what is wrong. It could be a loose or broken wire somewhere or even the computer needs reprogramming.
