1994 Opel Astra Automatic choke

1994 Opel Astra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 216000 miles
Hi there, my car warms up and after it's warm enough it wants to cut out, sometimes it does. The automatic choke light stay's on, so I think the car is "fluiding with petrol" wich causes this to happen. It's a Opel Kadette 200is 8vl it's the same as the astra. Where is the choke located on the motor and how do I fix this problem?

the choke .. is an electrical unit connected to the throttle body and controlled by the ECU/PCM
