Last winter the passenger wiper froze in the ice. The driver side wiper works fine. Occasionally in the rain the passenger side will take off, but as soon as the windshield gets a little dry it slows down and eventually gets hung up with the driver side. Then I have to stop and get them untangled, then the drivers side will work again. When they burried the wipers under the hood, it made them a real pain in the butt to work on. Even with the hood open you really can't do much to check the post out because the arm is pinched under the back of the hood. My Question (does the post have a shear pin in it? or do they rely entirely on the reset breaker to keep it from breaking in the ice?) Also are the arms like the older models, just a friction fit over the searated post, mainly dependent on the spring tension holding the blade against the windshield, or do these have some kind of spring clip holding them on?
