1998 Oldsmobile Other Repair Question

Vw jetta
My care is a 4 cylinder. The reservoir which holds the power steering fluid keeps melting and I'm now replacing it for the 3rd time. Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening again.

need a littls more information could possibly be that a heat shield was once installed to protect the resevoir but somehow was either removed of broken off tell me where the resevoir is mounted if it is near the exhaust then see if you can get a hold of some heat shielding and custom make your own to protect the p/s resevoir hope this helps
