Transmission problem
1976 Other Oldsmobile Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

cant get transmission to shift from first gear. Changed fluid, filter, and modulator. Still no better. What else could it be?

Could be a stuck govenor. It is located behind a cover on the side of the trans, toward the back if I remember correctly (been a long time). If it gets debris stuck in it, the trans wont shift properly
