2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
when it rains passenger side floorboard fills with water. i was told to check cabin air filter under cowling. have no clue where cowling is located or how to get it off.

Your cowling is the very bottom of your windshield on the outside.
On the passenger side you'll see a black plastic piece with vents in it. Most just pry up, but some have screws that need to be removed.
Once you open this, you'll see a white filter, just like the air filter for your engine. Underneath that are rubber seals.
Sometimes these seals leak and let water into your car. Also, water can enter your car from the top of your passenger door and run down the side towards the front. Check that also.
