1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

the driver side high beam headlight does not work. I installed new bulb, I have checked all of the fuses then I tried replacing complete head light nothing seams to work. The passenger side works fine as does the low beam on both sides. I had a friend check it out and he says that both wires going tho high beam are hot. Please help!

Welcome to the forum, voltage to high and low beams is hot all the time. On and off, high and low is controlled on the ground circuit. Your headlamp switch is part of the ground circuit. Pink is ground for high beam at the headlamp switch. Dark blue is ground for low beam at the switch. Right now, I think the problem is the headlamp switch or the high beam ground circuit to the switch.
