Engine Performance problem
1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

sputters after running, idles go from regular to high back to regular and so on, push on the gas and and it cuts off. Already changed fuel filter, checked fuel pump what else could it be

Yes check engine light comes on then after a while it goes off

What to do is take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts stores and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. If the light has been on, there should be a code identifying where the problem is coming from.
