Let it set for 4 hrs will start and run great untill you slow down then the same thing. Won't start but back fires agains starter and if started runs on only 2 I think. Help I love the old thing. Hello, how long since a tune-up? Any codes? How is the fuel pressure? I sometimes use a digital multimeter as an inductive clamp on a plug-wire, just to see if there is voltage on the wire. You don't penetrate the insulation or take the plug wire loose, the reading is inductive. I can't say it will work on every application, but, so far it works for me. If the reading on several plug wires show around 1/2 volt, and 1 or 2 show zero, I know where to start testing. That doesn't mean the plugs are firing just that there is voltage on the plug wire.
