The original problem was with the heating/AC passenger controls. I tried to get to the manual control switch behind the glove box to check out the problem......the glove box was stuck closed....took off bolts to get inside...every effort failed.....I also checked fuses to see if this might be a problem.....afterward, I tried to start the car and it would not start....I think that it is connected to the security system because the security light comes on and blinks when I turn the ignition.
