My car is notorious for not wanting to start. However, sometimes if I play with it, it will turn over. It doesn't make any noise when it's not starting up, but the lights and radio etc. comes on. When it does this, the check engine light comes on but once it's on, the check engine light goes off shortly after I start driving. Therefore, I haven't been able to get the codes read. I tried to get the started tested when I got a new battery a few months ago, but they said that the battery could offset the starter test. Please advise, I don't want to get rid of my car, I just need to know what's wrong.
