Electrical problem
1997 Oldsmobile Aurora Automatic 42,000 miles

My dad recently had a problem with his car, he was turning into a parking lot and the car died, but it started up right away. He went to Sears but they said he would have to go to a car dealer to have the problem diagnosed. What could the problem be?

I fhis check engine light is on then you can go to any auto parts store and they can check it to see what sensor is causing the problem. If it just died and then started right up, then try some choke cleaner on the throttle plate on both sides and the oblong hole near it. You can go to the tune up area on the site here and it has a picture of one there.
