I don't know if I never noticed this before, but I have a set of Pirelli 225/50-16 on my car and there is a yellow line which runs through the tread on all four tires. Is this a sign the tires need replaced or do the tires come this way?

I just recently bought this car so I don't know how long the tires have been on.
