For some reason the left back signal stopped working first, checked all lights and fuses and all was fine. Then the back left brake light stopped working as well. Replaced the multi function switch in the steering column as I was told that would fix it but it has not. Checked and took apart and put back together all of the wiring around the lights and still found nothing. What can it be?

Did you check voltage and ground at the bulb socket that doesn't function? Did you try pressing on the bulb a little, to see if the bulb makes good contact in the socket?

Just to add, left rear voltage wire is yellow. The black wire is ground. Did you check for voltage at the yellow wire with turn signal on?

Your left rear brake lamp and turn, use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. Hopefully there is a multiwire connector under your dash for the wiring going into your steering column. Hopefully it is the same yellow wire, there, that carries the voltage for your left rear turn. Turn on the key, left turn, see if anything on that wire. If nothing, I think the problem is in the steering column, maybe a wiring issue?
