Hello,

If you turn the key, and nothing happens, no dash light or any other chimes, then it is likely a faulty ignition switch.
The lock cylinder connects to the electrical components and over time the electrical connectors can wear off or get loose. This will keep the switch from making connection in the event of the key being turned.

Another possibility is having a loose connection to the switch. So, it will be important to check the connector. Make sure it is secured and free of any corrosion. Look for any pushed out pins or burnt connectors.

As for the remote, it is likely just a bad button for the door unlocks on the fob.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
