Engine Mechanical problem 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 55500 miles

Hi,

First time posting so I hope that I am posting correctly.

About 2 days ago the Xterra Lost power and rough idle for a few minute with Zero RPM's. Did that serveral time that day. Ended cleaning out the Throttle and checking the MAF everything looks good, but for the MAF it was only visual. After cleaning the Throttle with cleaner, the SES light came on the dash and the idle was very high 900 to 1100rpm. Checked out what the code given and it was P0507 idle air to high. Okay checked around and some places on the web stated that once you clean you have to relearn the xterra's idle. Okay ran through the steps with the key and the gas peddle. Now Once that process was done, the car starts and idle rough with ZERO RPM's. Tried turning the car serveral time after that and now it wont even fire up, yet it cranks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am starting to have the same issue at about the same exact mileage year make and model as you. How many of us are there out there with this same issue? Have you figured out what the issue was? I have read that the years before ours they said there was condensation in the distributor and that was causing a rough idle. I don't know too much about this type of thing. I just know that my car is idling at 500 rpm or below and it is idling rough.
