2000 Nissan Van clutch problem

2000 Nissan Van 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 85000 miles
ive just brought a nissan vanette from a dealer which has since got a terrible knocking noise when i depress the clutch pedal the dealer has since put a new clutch in the van thinking this is the problem but the noise is still there when clutch pedal is used.i was told it might be the dual mass flywheel but the dealer tells me it is not fitted with one ???
please help
