1985 Nissan Van runs bad at low rpms

1985 Nissan truck 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 95000 miles
i have check all the vaccum lines, replaced fuel filter and air filter. these did not help. i had to run 1500 rpms to keep it running. i decided to do a compression check and i found # 2 cylinder was spraying gas out of the spark plug hole while i was checking the other cylinders. #2 cylinder was also a much higher reading around 165. #1 was 150, #3 was 130 and #4 was 130. any thoughts on the gas spraying out of # 2. you could see it as it was coming out.
